Job summary

Allina Health seeks a Charge Capture professional to review clinical documentation and accurately enter charges for Emergency, Outpatient, and Observation services. You will use Epic to capture billable charges, identify inconsistencies, and partner with leadership to improve charge capture and reduce errors.

Responsibilities include reviewing financial reports for accuracy, ensuring compliance with regulations, and collaborating with Revenue Cycle Management, clinics, and providers to obtain

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of experience working in health care insurance, billing, and charging.
• Certified Coding Specialist certification preferred upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Reviews, calculates, and enters charges in the EMR.
• Ensures charges are captured in an appropriate and timely manner.
• Identifies workflow problems and works with site leadership to address them.
• Verifies insurance eligibility and documents information in Epic.
• Follows-up on billing and quality of care issues and documents contacts.
