Job summary

AMN Healthcare Language Services is seeking professional Over-the-Phone Interpreters to support LEP communities and healthcare providers. This flexible remote contractor role offers work-from-home opportunities across the United States.

The OPI will provide effective over-the-phone interpreting, adhere to ethics and HIPAA, and demonstrate adaptability to new technologies. Prior interpreter certifications and knowledge of medical terminology are preferred.

Qualifications

• Fluent and have strong verbal communication in English and target language.
• Medical language proficiency assessment knowledge of medical terminology.
• Understanding of interpreter ethics and standards (IMIA, NBCMI, NCIHC).
• HIPAA compliant work environment, HIPAA Training certificate within last year.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective over-the-phone interpreting service for consumers.
• Maintain professional conduct during calls.
