Horizontal Talent is seeking a creative Graphic Designer for a 9-month remote contract based in New York, NY. You will craft print and digital marketing materials, build and refine brand elements, and collaborate with marketing and creative teams to deliver impactful design work.

Qualifications include a graphic design degree, a strong portfolio, and proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite. You’ll maintain brand consistency across channels and manage production with vendors as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communication, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in graphic design, ideally within a creative agency or marketing environment.
• Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• A well-developed portfolio that demonstrates range, creativity, and design quality.
• Solid understanding of typography, color theory, layout, and general design principles.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to deliver polished work on schedule.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with a professional, team-oriented approach.
• Ability to work with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility in a respectful workplace.

Responsibilities

• Create visually engaging marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, posters, social media content, and website graphics.
• Develop brand elements including logos, color palettes, and typography to help maintain a consistent visual identity.
• Partner with marketing and creative stakeholders to translate briefs into effective design concepts and final assets.
• Use industry-standard design tools to produce, refine, and revise layouts, illustrations, and graphics.
• Incorporate feedback efficiently while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
• Support the upkeep of visual brand guidelines and organized design files for future use.
• Coordinate with printers and external vendors to help ensure accurate production of printed materials.
• Stay current on design trends, best practices, and emerging tools to continuously improve creative output.
