Qualifications

• One year of experience in the design, construction, installation, inspection, operation, maintenance, or repair of boilers, unfired pressure vessels, electronic equipment, electrical systems, heavy machinery, motors, engines, drives or hydraulic systems; or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
• This position requires employees to obtain, within the probationary period, a valid National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspector Commission, and a valid Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspector Commission.
• This position requires possession of an active motor vehicle license.

Responsibilities

• Inspect boilers, pressure vessels, and fuel installations for defects, corrosion, or unsafe conditions.
• Conduct checks of valves, attachments, water supply systems, and pressure levels to ensure safe operation.
• Review installation work to confirm adherence to approved plans, laws, and regulations.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and identify unsafe conditions or violations.
• Perform additional inspections to verify correction of deficiencies and compliance with regulations.
• Examine reported accidents involving boilers, pressure vessels, and fuel systems.
