Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking an Equipment Breakdown Risk Control Consultant to deliver boiler and pressure vessel inspections across the Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington, DC region. The role is remote within the assigned territory with travel required, and may include a company car.

The position supports risk assessments and loss prevention efforts for commercial clients. The ideal candidate has a 3+ year consulting background, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and NBIC IS Commission

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with coursework in mathematics/engineering or related area and 3+ years of related consulting experience.
• NBBI IS Commission or ability to obtain NBBI IS Commission.
• Strong written and verbal communication with customers and colleagues.

Responsabilités

• Perform inspections of boilers, pressure vessels, steam and hot water systems and related equipment.
• Conduct non-destructive testing and verify results.
• Evaluate burner operation, combustion efficiency and gas conditions.
• Advise on water treatment, corrosion and scaling risks.
• Prepare inspection reports and certification documents with clear findings.
• Coordinate inspections with owners, contractors and regulatory authorities.
