Job summary

Plasmidsaurus Inc. is seeking the first Procurement Specialist to establish a formal procurement function that improves vendor outcomes across the company. You’ll build lightweight, scalable processes to bring visibility into spend, reduce risk, and enable growth.

You’ll lead negotiations, set up preferred vendors, ensure renewal management, and collaborate with Finance, Operations and Labs to support major purchases and ongoing sourcing needs. Remote-friendly with multiple hubs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; science background preferred.
• 4–7 years in procurement, supply chain, or lab operations.
• Strong vendor negotiations and contract management experience.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and manage vendor and subscription contracts from purchase to renewal.
• Lead or support negotiations with consistent tactics across the company.
• Set up preferred vendors and backup lists for high-use categories.
• Spot supply chain risks early and implement mitigation plans.
• Maintain contract/renewal calendar and ensure spend visibility.
