Job summary

DataAnnotation is seeking experienced computational biologists and bioinformaticians to help train AI models. You will design realistic analysis tasks from your practice and run them through frontier AI systems, then grade the results against professional standards.

You will write clear grading rubrics and explain why a result passes or fails, flagging concrete issues with evidence such as batch effects or incorrect tests.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on experience analyzing real biological data in industry, academia, or research institutes.
• Proficient in Python and/or R and able to explain your analysis code.
• Deep knowledge in at least one domain: genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics/metabolomics, genetics, ML in biology.
• You’ve owned a multistep analysis end to end, from raw data to interpretation.
• Master’s or PhD completed or current PhD candidate in the U.S., Canada, Europe, or the UK.
• Fluent written English and familiarity with AI/LLM tools.

Responsibilities

• Design realistic analysis tasks from your workflows: scenario, prompts, and necessary files (count matrices, sheets, VCFs, logs, QC output).
• Run tasks through frontier AI agents and grade the deliverable against professional standards.
• Write clear grading rubrics and explain why a response passes or fails.
• Flag concrete failures with evidence: batch effects, ignored confounders, wrong tests, or misused references.
