We are seeking a BioInformatics Expert to perform data-analysis tasks, generate reproducible results, and communicate findings clearly, focusing on sequencing and omics data with Python or R. The role emphasizes real-world data interpretation, transparent assumptions, and producing structured outputs for AI research

Qualifikationen

• Master's or PhD in bioinformatics, computational biology, genomics, statistical genetics, quantitative biology, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience analyzing sequencing and omics data, including RNA-seq, WGS/WES, variant calling, metagenomics, or proteomics.
• Experience with tools like samtools, bcftools, bedtools, BWA, Bowtie2, BLAST, Python (pandas, Biopython, pysam) or R/Bioconductor (DESeq2, edgeR, limma, GenomicRanges).
• Ability to write and run Jupyter notebooks that reproduce work exactly.
• Clear, precise scientific writing.

Aufgaben

• Complete realistic, multi-step scientific data-analysis tasks in bioinformatics.
• Write original bioinformatics questions with exact and objective answers.
• Choose and anonymize data from public archives like GEO, SRA/ENA, ArrayExpress, PRIDE, PDB, MGnify, or unpublished lab data for model analysis.
• Use scientific software, code, and command-line tools to generate reproducible analyses and structured outputs.
• Develop a Jupyter validation notebook using Python or R to reproduce correct answers.
• Interpret results in the context of biological or translational questions, communicating assumptions, uncertainty, and conclusions clearly.
