Job summary

Oscar Health is hiring a Bilingual Medical Assistant to join our Remote Care Team. The role provides live video check-in/out and phone/messaging support, coordinating with physicians, APPs and RNs in a virtual setting.

Requirements: Medical Assistant Certification, 1+ year in primary/urgent/multi-specialty care, and Spanish fluency with verbal and written proficiency exams. Remote position across multiple states; travel may be required. Salary: $21.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certification required.
• 1+ year of experience in primary care, urgent care, or multi-specialty clinic.
• Spanish language fluency with verbal and written proficiency exams.

Responsibilities

• Provide live video check-in/out support for patients
• Provide live phone and messaging support for patients
• Coordinate with Care Team including physicians, APPs and RNs
• Plan for each patient's medical needs from outreach to resolution
• Assist with the order process and referrals
• Schedule follow-up appointments
• Clarify information with providers to resolve complex cases
• Coordinate with laboratories, imaging facilities, pharmacies and vendors
• Adhere to applicable laws and regulations
