Job summary

Eos Accountants Llp in Teaneck, NJ seeks a Staff Accountant to develop accounting and auditing competence, handling client work and close processes.

The full-time exempt position focuses on posting entries, reconciliations, reporting packages, and assisting with external audits. The role requires a bachelor’s in accounting, CPA eligibility, strong Excel/Word, and Japanese proficiency; teleworking is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college/university.
• CPA license or candidate to sit for CPA exam.
• Strong accounting and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to multi-task.
• Japanese language proficiency required.
• Teleworking option available.

Responsibilities

• Understand client’s business, determine and post entries.
• Identify circumstances to be recorded and make proper entries.
• Prepare reconciliations for main accounts and create when necessary.
• Prepare reporting packages in the client's format.
• Understand basics of income tax provision.
• Communicate with client and provide accounting advice.
• Assist client with auditor’s requests.
• Help clients with business compliance needs.
• Hands-on use of QuickBooks (Online and Desktop).
• Process cash payments for client-approved invoices (check/ACH/wire).
• Communicate with banks as necessary.
• Support SSARS21 compilation engagements using ProSystem fx Engagement.
• Proactively interact with client management to gather information and improve processes.
• Contribute to client satisfaction through meetings and timely responses.
