Job summary

Join BairesDev as a Platform Engineer (Big Data) to build and operate large-scale data platforms that power analytics workloads. You will bridge infrastructure and data applications, ensuring performance, security, and reliability at enterprise scale.

Leverage Hadoop ecosystem, Spark, Kafka, and distributed storage like HBase, NiFi, and Ozone. You’ll perform Linux tuning and implement observability to proactively resolve bottlenecks.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Platform/Big Data or Systems Engineering experience.
• Proven expertise with Hadoop ecosystem and data platforms.
• Strong Java or Scala development for Spark/Kafka workloads.
• Hands-on Linux administration and performance tuning.
• Fluent English communication in a global team.

Responsibilities

• Architect and operate large-scale big data environments with Hadoop ecosystem.
• Optimize Spark and Kafka for high-throughput, low-latency streams.
• Manage distributed storage/processing with HBase, NiFi, Ozone.
• Perform Linux system administration and tuning for stability.
• Implement observability and monitoring to identify bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with teams to define platform standards and deployments.
