Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a Big Data Engineer for a 100% remote role in the United States. The position is full-time direct W-2 with a salary range of $100,000–$150,000 annually and requires 6+ years of experience in big-data pipelines on Hadoop.

Ideal candidates will design, build, and operate large-scale data processing pipelines and analytics platforms using Hadoop ecosystems, Spark, and related technologies, delivering reliable, cost-effective data platforms in production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years designing and operating big-data pipelines on Hadoop.
• Hands-on Spark (Scala, Python, or Java) in production.
• Experience with Hive, HDFS, Sqoop, HBase, Hadoop ecosystem.
• Streaming data platforms such as Kafka, Spark Streaming, or Flink.
• Strong SQL skills with relational and NoSQL data stores.
• Experience with Airflow or Oozie for workflows.
• Understanding of distributed systems concepts.
