Job summary

UnitedHealthcare is seeking a Senior Clinical Administrative Nurse to engage members by phone, assess needs, and connect them with appropriate clinical services. The role emphasizes outbound outreach, care coordination, and acting as a clinical liaison with providers and internal teams.

The schedule requires weekdays 11:00 am - 8:00 PM CST, with Saturdays 8:00 am - 5:00 PM CST. You will document activities, support discharge planning, and contribute to treatment plan discussions while

Qualifications

Current and unrestricted RN compact license.
Ability to obtain additional state licensure as needed.
2+ years of acute nursing experience.
2+ years of behavioral health nursing experience.
Basic computer proficiency (MS Word, Outlook).
Proven ability to function independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Provide members with tools to navigate the health care system and manage health concerns.
Assist with adverse determinations and appeals processes.
Educate members on UMR wellness tools and resources.
Educate and guide behavioral health and substance use services.
Provide ER steerage and guidance on appropriate emergency care.
Outreach to members for pre-admission counseling and discharge planning.
Track activities and maintain documentation for reporting.
Collaborate to evaluate services and coordinate medical care and referrals.
Comply with policies, procedures, and documentation standards.
