Job summary

Hyundai Capital America is hiring an Associate in Bankruptcy to manage complex customer accounts through various bankruptcy chapters. You will handle queue management, document processing, and cross‑department collaboration to minimize loss while ensuring compliance with state and federal laws.

The role requires 2–4 years in finance or bankruptcy, strong communication, multitasking ability, and comfort working remotely with a high volume of accounts. Evening/weekend shifts may be needed.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years finance or bankruptcy experience, with auto-finance related experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to multitask and independently manage time daily to meet productivity and goals.
• Basic computer skills – Windows, Word and Excel.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Remote environment work.
• Heavy volume of accounts.
• Shift based with ~40 hours/week; evenings/weekends/holidays possible.

Responsibilities

• Manage Bankruptcy Queue and review accounts per standards; process necessary documents.
• Maintain detailed logs of irregularities and participate in reviews as needed.
• Perform skip tracing using tools like Accurint, TLO; obtain accurate information on accounts.
• Prepare, file, and release documents per policy; ensure compliance with laws.
• Communicate with customers and attorneys regarding bankruptcy accounts.
• Mentor teammates and participate in coaching sessions as requested by leadership.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
