Qualifications

  • CPA or CA designation required.
  • 10+ years accounting/finance experience.
  • 5+ years people management experience.
  • Experience building tools and processes to scale an accounting team.
  • Extensive knowledge of GAAP and regulatory reporting.
  • Strong analytical, cash management, and modeling skills.
  • Detail oriented with a strategic mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the bank accounting team; provide strategic direction, recruitment, and coaching.
  • Liaise with cross-functional partners across the business.
  • Oversee monthly financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders and regulators.
  • Build and maintain a regulated reporting function for filings (FFIEC 041, Part 363, Fed).
  • Coordinate annual bank financial statement audits with external auditors.
  • Drive automation by partnering with engineering/product teams on accounting/reporting tools.
  • Manage financial analysis and special projects as needed.
