Affirm, a leading fintech, is seeking a Bank Controller to lead the bank accounting function during a growth phase. You will oversee monthly reporting, govern GAAP and regulatory filings, and partner with engineering to automate processes.

Qualifications

• Accounting designation such as CPA or CA.
• 10+ years relevant experience in Accounting, Finance or Treasury-related areas.
• 5+ years of people management experience.
• Experience building tools and processes, and scaling an Accounting team in a similar industry.
• Extensive knowledge of GAAP and regulatory reporting.
• Proven analysis, cash management, and modeling experience.
• Extremely detail oriented with a natural critical thinker.
• Strategic, goal-driven with a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of the bank accounting function.
• Build and lead the Bank accounting team with strategic direction and recruitment.
• Serve as liaison with cross-functional teams and partners.
• Oversee monthly financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders including regulatory bodies.
• Establish and maintain a controlled regulatory reporting function for filings.
• Coordinate external audits with vendors and ensure timely completion.
• Drive process automation with engineering and product teams to improve accounting/reporting.
