Job summary

Privy is hiring a mid-level backend engineer to design and build the backend systems powering wallets, identity, and on-chain infrastructure at scale. You will create platform primitives and APIs enabling Privy and Stripe teams to move faster while leading architecture initiatives spanning data and distributed systems.

In a highly practical tech environment using Node, React, and AWS, you’ll focus on reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Production systems experience at scale.
• Knowledge of API development best practices.
• Experience in data modeling and database migrations.
• Ability to write maintainable, well-tested code and clear technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the backend systems that power wallets, identity, and onchain infrastructure at scale
• Create platform primitives and APIs that enable teams across Privy and Stripe to build faster
• Lead complex technical initiatives across architecture, data, and distributed systems
• Improve the scalability, reliability, and performance of our core platform
• Help shape our technical direction through high-leverage engineering work
