Job summary

Affirm is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Marketing & Privacy Engineering to build data and measurement foundations that connect consumer acquisition across paid media, SEO, and other growth channels to outcomes like signup and GMV. You’ll work at the intersection of data engineering and marketing tech, delivering reliable pipelines and identity/data systems.

You will own quarterly goals, collaborate across product, design, analytics and data, and drive high-quality code and robust

Qualifications

• 4+ years designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale.
• Experience with AWS, MySQL and Kubernetes for distributed systems.
• Hands-on marketing data systems experience (GTM/GA4, CDPs, attribution).
• Experience building data pipelines and analytical models (Snowflake, dbt, Airflow).
• Ability to define a technical plan for large features with simple, extensible design.

Responsibilities

• Own quarterly goals for your team and lead engineers through ambiguity.
• Collaborate with product, design and analytics to align on constraints and trade-offs.
• Identify and solve project, process, technology, or business issues.
• Monitor metrics and support on-call efforts to keep artifacts available.
• Set and promote code quality standards and mentor teammates.
