Job summary

BJAK is seeking experienced backend engineers to build the core systems behind the AI Finance Agent. You will craft reliable APIs and workflows that scale across markets, partners and millions of users, while collaborating with product, mobile and operations teams.

Ideal candidates have strong API, database and system design skills with a focus on security, reliability and production readiness for financial services.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Strong fundamentals in APIs, databases, system design and production debugging.
• Experience building scalable services and integrating third-party systems.
• Good understanding of security, reliability, data quality and operational edge cases.
• Able to make practical trade-offs between speed, quality and risk.
• Comfortable working with product, mobile, operations and business teams.
• Experience in fintech, payments, insurance, lending, banking or regulated products is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Build backend services, APIs and workflows for the AI Neobank app.
• Support products across insurance, payments, wallet, savings, investing, travel and financial services.
• Design reliable systems for user accounts, transactions, partner integrations, reconciliation, notifications and operations.
• Work with product and mobile teams to ship customer-facing journeys quickly.
• Integrate with banks, payment gateways, insurers, data providers and other partners.
• Improve system reliability, observability, security and performance.
• Build systems that are practical, auditable and ready for regulated financial products.
