Job summary

eSimplicity is seeking a Backend Data Validation and Performance Test Engineer to validate large-scale backend data systems across CMS applications. You will perform ETL validation on Databricks, Snowflake, and PostgreSQL, analyze data quality, and ensure end-to-end data alignment with UI outputs.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in backend data validation & performance testing within large-scale data environments, including platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake.
• Experience with workload analysis, query optimization, and data pipeline performance evaluation.
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and Slack.
• Experience working within Agile, SAFe, or similar methodologies.
• Ability to translate business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories into comprehensive backend test cases.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive backend data and ETL validation across big-data platforms.
• Analyze, interpret, and validate CMS datasets across multiple data assets.
• Validate data from CMS IDR and OnePI systems related to FPS workflows.
• Conduct backend-to-frontend comparison testing between databases and UI outputs.
• Execute backend performance testing: query analysis, benchmarking, load, and stress testing.
• Collaborate with Analysts, DBAs, DevOps, and Scrum teams to validate data integrity.
