Job summary
EPAM Systems is seeking an experienced Azure Systems Architect to design, architect, and implement scalable, secure, and highly available Azure solutions. You will lead deploy pipelines, define runbooks, and ensure regulatory compliance while optimizing costs across Azure environments.
The role requires deep expertise in Azure, CI/CD, IaC, and security governance, with strong collaboration across DevOps and development teams.
Qualifications
- Proven experience architecting and launching complex systems on Microsoft Azure.
- Expertise in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies in Azure.
- Strong knowledge of monitoring, alerting, and logging tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, App Insights).
- In-depth understanding of cloud security, compliance, and governance best practices.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, or Bicep).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Architect and design end-to-end Azure-based solutions for scalability, security, and availability.
- Lead robust deployment pipelines with blue/green/canary deployments.
- Define and maintain architecture docs, diagrams, and runbooks for production systems.
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging for rapid incident response.
- Enforce best practices for capacity planning, auto-scaling, backup, and DR in Azure.
- Ensure GDPR/HIPAA/SOC 2 compliance across systems.
- Collaborate with DevOps to develop IaC via Terraform/ARM/Bicep.
- Coordinate with project teams on production readiness and go-live planning.
- Advise tech leads on architectural changes for deployment success.
- Drive cloud cost optimization across Azure environments.
