Job summary

IRIS Software, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Sr. Azure Platform Architect to lead standardization, governance, and automation for a multi-tenant cloud sandbox infrastructure.

You will drive automated provisioning, patch management, and comprehensive observability across environments. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in cloud infrastructure with strong Azure expertise, IaC with Terraform or Bicep/ARM, and experience with security governance and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Cloud Infrastructure Engineering experience with a strong Azure focus.
• Experience managing large-scale Azure environments with many resources.
• Hands-on IaC with Terraform or Bicep/ARM templates for deployments and state management.
• Experience with Azure Update Manager, Azure Automation State Configuration, or DSC at scale.
• Strong scripting in PowerShell, Python, or Azure CLI for automation and orchestration.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.

Responsibilities

• Standardize and govern a large fleet of sandbox environments using IaC and configuration management to prevent drift.
• Design and deploy automated self-service dynamic provisioning pipelines for users and partners, with lifecycle cleanup.
• Implement enterprise-grade patch management with end-to-end visibility and compliant scheduling across environments.
• Establish unified logging, monitoring, and alerting using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics to track health and security posture.
• Enforce security baselines, RBAC, and governance policies for internal and external user segments.
• Act as escalation point for complex infra issues, performance bottlenecks, and provisioning failures.
