Job summary

Exavalu is seeking an experienced Azure Data Architect to design enterprise data architecture and lead cloud modernization initiatives for US clients. This remote role requires strong Azure expertise and hands-on data platform experience.

You will define architecture, build Data Lake/Data Warehouse/Data Lakehouse on Azure, and guide migrations from on-premise to Azure. Collaboration with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Data Architect or Azure Data Architect.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure data services.
• Expertise in Azure Data Factory, ADLS Gen2, Azure Synapse, Databricks, and SQL.
• Strong knowledge of Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Lakehouse, ETL/ELT, and Data Modeling.
• Experience with Python, PySpark/Spark, and large-scale data processing.
• Strong understanding of data integration, APIs, batch and real-time data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise data architecture, technology strategy, standards, and roadmap.
• Design scalable Azure-based Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and Lakehouse solutions.
• Lead data modernization and migration initiatives to Azure.
• Design data integration, ingestion, transformation, and processing architectures.
• Provide technical leadership across Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, ADLS, and Microsoft Fabric.
• Define data modeling, ETL/ELT, data pipeline, and integration patterns.
• Establish data governance, security, quality, metadata, and lineage frameworks.
• Evaluate architecture options for scalability, performance, reliability, and cost optimization.
• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders.
• Review designs, provide architectural guidance, and mitigate risks.
