Job summary

PhoenixTeam is seeking an AWS Windows Infrastructure Automation Engineer to automate Windows Server configuration, hardening, and deployment within a FedRAMP-authorized AWS GovCloud environment. You’ll translate upgrade designs and security baselines into repeatable configurations to maintain consistency across environment tiers.

You will work under the Windows Architect’s direction on phased upgrade waves, build hardened AMIs, and integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience.
• 7 years total with an Associate’s Degree in lieu of a Bachelor.
• 9 years total with a High School Diploma in lieu of a Bachelor.

Responsibilities

• Automate Windows Server configuration, build, and deployment.
• Update Windows Server baselines to 2019/2025 standards and fix drift.
• Build and maintain hardened Windows AMIs and automate EC2 provisioning.
• Automate OS hardening and compliance checks and remediate findings.
• Automate patching, inventory, and operational tasks using AWS Systems Manager.
• Integrate Windows automation into CI/CD pipelines with version-controlled code.
• Document automation, configurations, and runbooks in Confluence and track in Jira.
