Job summary

Himalayas is seeking an experienced Application Solution Architect on a contract basis to assess on-premise apps and design a migration to AWS. The role targets architecture design, security, and compliance with PCI DSS, and collaboration with DevOps to establish CI/CD pipelines and monitoring.

The ideal candidate holds AWS Developer or SysOps Associate certification, deep AWS service knowledge, and strong communication skills to work with stakeholders and deliver a comprehensive migration plan.

Qualifications

• AWS Developer or SysOps Associate Certification.
• Deep understanding of AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation).
• Experience with migration tools and methodologies (AWS Migration Hub, AWS MGN, AWS DMS, AWS SCT).
• Strong knowledge of networking, security, and PCI DSS compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of application architecture for migrating on-premises workloads to AWS.
• Perform on-premises assessments of architecture, infrastructure and dependencies.
• Develop migration strategy, timeline, and roadmap for AWS migration.
• Collaborate with Cloud Engineers/DevOps to establish CI/CD pipelines, automation and monitoring.
• Handover documentation and provide knowledge transfer to client teams.
