Job summary

Nightwing is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and optimize a cloud platform supporting GovCloud workloads. You will collaborate across teams to deliver scalable, secure cloud services and apply best practices for governance and cost efficiency.

The role requires hands-on experience with AWS resources, IaC tooling, and strong communication to thrive in a fast-paced federal-style environment. Remote work from home is supported.

Qualifications

• 5+ years IT experience (operations, security, or development) or Cloud Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience running, architecting, and managing services in AWS or another major cloud.
• Experience with Linux System Administration (3+ years) and Windows administration familiarity.
• Strong communication, accountability, and problem-solving mindset.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Operate, develop, and improve a cloud-based infrastructure in AWS GovCloud.
• Design, deploy, and maintain multi-account environments using Landing Zone.
• Create and manage VPCs, IAM roles, and least-privilege controls.
• Develop IaC using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab).
• Lead projects and ensure security, monitoring, and compliance.
