Job summary

Paychex North America Inc. is seeking an Automation Test Engineer III to join our team. The role focuses on building SOA service regression tests, test harnesses, and automated scripts to improve software quality for Payroll Solutions.

You will create test automation using pxTestify, Python, Robot Framework, Selenium, SOAPUI, Postman, Podman, and Jenkins; perform mobile app testing with SauceLabs on iOS/Android; and contribute to CI, performance testing, and risk planning in Agile sprints.

Qualifications

Master’s degree (or foreign degree equiv.) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or closely related field, plus 3 years of automation testing experience.
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign degree equiv.) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or closely related field, plus 5 years of automation testing experience.
3 years of experience with software testing and automated test techniques focusing on quality across the SDLC.
3 years translating functional requirements/use cases to Test Scripts, Automation Test Plans, and Test Strategies.
3 years of design/development using Python, Selenium WebDriver, pxTestify (or similar), Robot Framework, SOAP and REST APIs.

Responsibilities

Create test automation using Paychex standard tools for SOA and REST API services.
Develop and execute mobile apps and mobile web testing on iOS/Android devices.
Execute performance test scripts and measure throughput, response times, and resource usage.
Perform peer code reviews to ensure requirements and design align with changes.
Create and execute SQL queries using modern RDBMS or NoSQL technologies.
