Niyam IT seeks a highly motivated, hands-on Automation Engineer to join our team in support of a federal client. You will design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions to ensure quality, reliability, and performance across applications.

The role suits both early-career and experienced professionals eager to learn and grow. Key responsibilities include building Selenium-based testing frameworks, API testing, SQL validation, and collaborating with Agile teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based automation solutions.
• Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience with Java, JavaScript, OOP/FP principles.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience designing and maintaining Selenium-based testing frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and execute testing protocols to validate system and application requirements.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance automated testing scripts and frameworks for application products.
• Conduct regression, smoke, and integration testing for IT applications.
• Evaluate test cases, document results, and deliver progress updates to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with development teams to identify, isolate, and resolve defects.
• Ensure adherence to Agile and QA methodologies; perform API testing and SQL validation.
