Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Claims Examiner, Auto | Commercial Bodily Injury, to analyze and process complex bodily injury auto and commercial transportation claims. The role involves reviewing coverage, investigations, liability determinations, and damages, with emphasis on timely resolution per client requirements.

Ideal candidates have extensive claims management experience, strong communication skills, and a commitment to quality.

Qualifications

• Five years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication, PC literate including Microsoft Office, and ability to work in a team environment.
• Secure and maintain the state adjusting licenses as required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Processes complex auto commercial and personal line claims, including bodily injury, with proper documentation and coding.
• Responsible for litigation process on litigated claims.
• Coordinates vendor management, including independent adjusters, to assist investigations.
• Reports large claims to excess carriers.
• Develops and maintains action plans to meet state contact deadlines and drive resolution.
• Identifies subrogation and risk transfer opportunities; secures and disposes of salvage.
