Job summary

Wohlenberg Ritzman & Co. Staff Auditor I supports the Audit Division by contributing to the timely preparation of audit and compliance activities.

The role requires an Associate's degree in accounting, up to one year of accounting experience, and travel about 25-30% with remote work possible when not on site. It reports to the Audit Director and is a full-time, non-exempt position within a professional services firm.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with accounting practices.
• Assist with the preparation financial statements using a prescribed format.
• Collaborate with other staff to assure adherence to acceptable accounting standards.
• Plan and complete basic segments of a financial statement audit and single audit.
• Assist in collecting and organizing sufficient documentation necessary for reporting and audits.
• Identify any deficiencies within the auditing process and meet with appropriate staff to resolve such deficiencies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
