Job summary

Alphanumeric Systems is seeking an experienced Associate Scientific Director – Pharmacovigilance & Clinical Safety to support the Global Safety organization of a leading pharmaceutical company.

This position focuses on Safety Evaluation and Risk Management (SERM) across clinical development and post-marketing activities. The successful candidate will provide scientific expertise in evaluating emerging safety signals and developing safety recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Health Sciences or Healthcare discipline.
• Experience in pharmacovigilance, clinical safety, drug safety, or risk management.
• Experience authoring safety assessments and regulatory submissions.

Responsibilities

• Perform signal detection and ongoing safety surveillance for products across development and post-marketing.
• Analyze clinical trial data and post-marketing safety information to identify risks.
• Develop safety assessments, benefit-risk evaluations, and risk communication.
• Contribute to regulatory submissions and Health Authority responses.
• Support periodic safety report development (DSURs, PSURs/PBRERs, RMPs).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely safety reporting.
• Participate in Safety Review Teams and governance activities.
• Assist in risk-reduction measures in protocols and labeling.
• Provide scientific guidance in a global matrix environment.
