A law firm in the U.S. Virgin Islands is looking for a remote Associate who will take the Virgin Islands bar examination if not already admitted. Responsibilities include civil and criminal defense litigation, corporate work, legal research, and client representation in remote hearings. Ideal candidates should be prepared for a varied workload and consult with partners on strategies.
We are looking for aremote Associate who, if not already admitted, willimmediately takethe Virgin Islands bar examination and gainadmission to practice law in this Territory. The Associate’s workload will depend on availability and salary. The Associate's work will include everything from civil and some criminal defense litigation, to corporate and transactional work. The Associate will be expected to research, prepare and review pleadings, motions, orders and legal memoranda; appear and represent clients at any and all remote hearings and court appearances in local, federal and administrative tribunals; gather evidence, conduct written discovery and take depositions; develop litigation strategies; and update and consult with partners and clients.
