The Manatee County Attorney’s Office is seeking an Assistant County Attorney to join its team in Bradenton, FL. This role provides legal services to the Board of County Commissioners and subordinate boards, drafts and negotiates contracts and ordinances, and may supervise paralegals and interns.

Requirements include a Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school and Florida Bar membership in good standing; at least three years of relevant experience across multiple practice areas is

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active Florida Bar membership in good standing.
• Minimum three years of experience in government, litigation, contracts, or related areas.
• Writing samples and references may be requested.
• Ability to travel for conferences, meetings, depositions and trials.

Responsabilidades

• Provide legal services to the Board of County Commissioners and County officials.
• Draft and review ordinances, contracts, leases, licenses, and related documents.
• Supervise and advise paralegals, staff, and interns as needed.
• Litigate or supervise litigation before state or federal tribunals; handle discovery, depositions and appellate work.
• Advise on state and federal legislation and draft amendments as needed.
