Job summary

Cloudera's Applied AI team seeks an Applied AI Specialist to identify and validate high‑impact private AI use cases for production. You will work in a regional pod with enterprise architects, data scientists, and partners like NVIDIA to design discovery workshops and define clear implementation paths.

You will evaluate data readiness, governance, and infrastructure, ensuring only high‑value opportunities advance to engineering. Remote-friendly with strong collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• Strong technical foundation in data science and enterprise architectures.
• Hands-on experience with ML/DL, CV, time-series analytics, and generative AI.
• Experience in pre-sales, solutioning, or architecture engagements.
• Ability to assess data quality, governance, security, and infra constraints.
• Excellent communication for technical and executive audiences.
• Proficiency with Python, APIs, cloud-native architectures, and MLOps.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI discovery workshops with NVIDIA and partners to identify opportunities.
• Scope high-value AI use cases for production deployment.
• Evaluate data readiness, governance, and infrastructure for private AI.
• Develop regional domain leadership and transfer patterns across customers.
• Build technical assets, reference architectures, and demonstrations.
• Define engineering blueprint and handoff requirements to FDE teams.
• Document best practices for reuse across regions and industries.
