Job summary

LMI is seeking a senior-level Appian Solution Architect to support Army Acquisition, Training, and Readiness (AT&R) and lead ACWS architectural efforts on the Appian platform. You will guide end-to-end solution architecture, ensure secure, scalable, and interoperable delivery, and partner with DevSecOps, data teams, and government stakeholders in a mission-critical DoD environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• 9+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, large-scale system integration, software engineering, or technical leadership of complex systems.
• Experience as a Solution Architect supporting Federal Government/DoD or mission-critical systems.
• Experience designing integrated solutions across app, cloud, cybersecurity, data, DevSecOps, and testing.
• Experience working in Agile software development environments.
• Strong understanding of architecture principles, integration patterns, scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Active Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain end-to-end ACWS solution architecture, aligning with objectives and priorities.
• Lead solution-level architecture across Appian stack, cloud, cybersecurity, data, integrations, test automation, and DevSecOps.
• Serve as senior design authority for government stakeholders and delivery teams.
• Ensure seamless integration among ACWS components, shared services, data sources, interfaces, security services, and infrastructure.
• Guide architectural runway and nonfunctional requirements for continuous delivery.
• Participate in SAFe ceremonies and architecture syncs as appropriate.
• Create and maintain architecture artifacts and documentation per Army/DoD standards.
• Provide guidance on secure cloud deployment, IAM, and security.
• Collaborate with developers, Appian specialists, DBAs, DevSecOps, IA, testers, SMEs to resolve architectural issues and delivery risks.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and Appian capabilities; recommend improvements for sustainability and security.
• Prepare and deliver technical briefings and decision materials to program stakeholders and leadership.
• Support production troubleshooting and root cause analysis for cross-system issues.
