Job summary

First Citizens Bank is recruiting an Appian Technical Architect for remote, enterprise-scale initiatives across the United States. You will define the enterprise architecture, technology strategy, governance, and design for complex Appian implementations, while remaining hands-on to develop critical platform capabilities.

You will partner with Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Cloud Engineering, and DevOps teams to ensure compliant delivery and modernization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of software development experience
• Alternative: High School Diploma with 12 years of software development experience
• Appian Certified Lead Developer certification preferred
• Extensive Appian platform knowledge (SAIL, Data Fabric, Records, Process Models, Sites)

Responsibilities

• Serve as the enterprise technical architect for Appian solutions across multiple business domains.
• Design end-to-end solution architecture for complex Appian implementations.
• Lead architecture reviews and establish enterprise development standards, governance, and best practices.
• Design reusable frameworks, integration patterns, security models, and enterprise standards.
• Develop complex Appian components and provide hands-on implementation for critical capabilities.
• Architect enterprise integrations using REST, SOAP, Kafka, MQ, databases, and cloud services.
