Job summary

Learner Education is seeking an AP Pre-Calculus Tutor to join our remote, contract-based program. You will deliver one-to-one online instruction, focusing on AP Pre-Calculus and related math topics, across grades from 6th through college level.

This flexible role lets you set your own hours and work remotely, with guidance and a supportive tutor community. Must have at least 3 years of tutoring experience and a solid grasp of the U.S. curriculum.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 3 years of professional teaching or tutoring experience.
• At least 1 year of U.S. teaching or tutoring experience.
• Past 2 years teaching/tutoring within the U.S. context.
• At least 1 year of online tutoring experience.
• Strong understanding of the U.S. curriculum and grading standards.
• Strong subject matter expertise in Math, including AP Pre-Calculus.
• Ability to tutor Math from 6th grade through college level.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Availability during peak hours: Mon–Thu, 3–10 PM ET.
• Fast and reliable internet; quiet professional environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide AP Pre-Calculus tutoring to students remotely.
• Conduct one-to-one online tutoring sessions.
• Adapt instruction for 6th grade through college level.
• Assess student progress and adjust lessons accordingly.
• Maintain professional online conduct and recordkeeping.
• Engage with a diverse student population and provide feedback.
• Coordinate with students about scheduling.
