Job summary

Talentify is seeking a Medical Coder for a 13-week remote assignment in the PST time zone. You will review documentation to support CPT and ICD-10-CM billing for professional and facility services, focusing on anesthesia Pro fee billing and Medicare/Medicaid compliance.

Qualifications include recent anesthesia coding experience, CPT/ICD-10-CM knowledge, and strong communication skills. Certification (CPC/AHIMA) is preferred, with hospital coding experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Recent anesthesia coding experience required.
• Four years of hospital or professional services coding experience OR completion of Medical Records Coding course.
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS and billing laws/regulations.
• Proficiency with word processing and Excel spreadsheets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills across levels.
• Two years’ experience coding professional Medicare Part B services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review documentation to ensure CPT/ICD-10-CM accuracy and appropriate levels of service.
• Assign levels of service and ensure compliance with Medicare/Medicaid guidelines.
• Provide physician education on billing changes or regulatory updates.
• Support anesthesia Pro fee billing and related payer issues as assigned.
