Job summary

Speechify is seeking a hands-on Team Lead to own core product work across our Android app and related platforms. You’ll write code, review code, and own features from idea to release, helping the team ship high-quality software quickly.

You’ll unblock the team, maintain reliability metrics for key features, review PRs with thoughtful feedback, and drive automation to reduce manual steps. A collaborative, fast-moving culture and strong communication are essential.

Responsibilities

• Own major features end to end, from decision through to release.
• Own, maintain, and improve reliability metrics for key features.
• Review pull requests and provide constructive feedback.
• Unblock the team when blockers arise and take proactive action.
• Identify when a component should become the standard version used by the team.
• Keep shared components maintained and consolidate duplicate implementations.
• Push for process changes when the team is ready, not via wait-and-see.
• Reduce manual steps to ensure timely, correct releases.
• Shift verification left by increasing automated checks.
