Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology (preferred Anatomy & Physiology emphasis) for lab instructors.
• Master’s Degree in Biology (preferred Anatomy & Physiology emphasis) or graduate degree with 18 graduate semester hours in Biology (Anatomy & Physiology for lecture instructors).
• Ability to communicate effectively in an electronic format.

Responsibilities

• Create a learning environment that facilitates student knowledge and skills in a discipline and/or program.
• Align course activities with learning outcomes and use active learning strategies and appropriate technology with timely feedback.
• Deliver instruction and assess student learning, including at least one assessment within the first 15% of class; review evaluations and implement action plans.
• Work during day/evening/weekend as needed for assigned courses.
• Maintain at least 1 office hour per week per course.
• Adhere to departmental policies for course organization and management of laboratory courses.
