Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Software Engineer in Minneapolis for a fully remote hourly contract to help shape AI-generated code. You will write, review, and improve code across languages, and provide expert feedback to make AI coding assistants safer and more reliable.

You should be proficient in multiple languages, understand data structures and algorithms, and communicate decisions clearly. The role offers flexible hours (10–40 per week) with autonomous, asynchronous work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, Java, C++, Go, or TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Clear written communicator with ability to explain technical decisions.
• Ability to work independently and asynchronously on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Write, debug, and optimize code across languages and frameworks.
• Review and evaluate AI-generated code for correctness and efficiency.
• Identify bugs, security issues, and performance bottlenecks in AI outputs.
• Provide structured feedback explaining why code works or not.
• Design coding prompts and edge-case scenarios to stress-test AI capabilities.
• Rank AI solutions by engineering quality and work autonomously.
