Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Senior Project Manager - AI Strategy to lead the organization’s AI vision and roadmap, aligned with strategic business goals. This remote role requires cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders across GCC, Solution Delivery, USS, Fed, and international units to craft scalable AI initiatives that drive value.

The candidate will manage multiple AI projects, apply agile and hybrid methodologies, and ensure ethical AI practices, privacy, and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field and 7+ years of relevant professional experience, or equivalent combination.
• 4+ years demonstrated experience leading and managing complex, enterprise-scale IT portfolios, including strategic planning, investment prioritization, budget oversight, resource allocation, risk management, and performance accountability.
• 4+ years demonstrated experience operating within the government technology and services sector, with an understanding of federal and state agency environments, procurement processes, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and refine Maximus’ AI vision and roadmap aligned with OCDIO business goals.
• Analyze internal processes and data assets to identify AI use cases that drive efficiency or value.
• Collaborate with executive leadership and business units to consult on AI integration into workflows and products.
• Manage multiple AI projects, ensuring delivery on time, scope, and budget, with effective prioritization.
• Lead cross-functional teams through AI project lifecycle using agile and hybrid methodologies.
• Partner with legal, compliance, and data governance to ensure ethical AI practices and risk mitigation.
• Establish KPIs to evaluate ROI of AI deployments and drive enterprise-wide improvements.
• Support AI literacy and change management across Maximus.
• Coach and mentor junior project managers and team members.
