Job summary

Turing, based in San Francisco, invites software engineers to join as a Software Engineering evaluator contractor to curate code examples and provide precise solutions across Go, Python, JavaScript, C/C++, Java, and Rust. You will help train and benchmark AI models by reviewing AI-generated code for efficiency, scalability, and reliability.

This engagement runs about 10 to 40 hours per week for one month with potential extensions; candidates must be based in the US, Canada or WEU.

Qualifications

Several years of software engineering experience (3 years or more).
Strong expertise in building full-stack applications and deploying scalable, production-grade software.
Deep understanding of software architecture, design, development, debugging, and code quality/review assessment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills for clear, structured evaluation rationales.

Responsibilities

Curate code examples and build solutions — primarily in Go — with Python, JavaScript/ReactJS, C/C++, Java and Rust.
Evaluate and refine AI-generated code for efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance AI-driven coding solutions against benchmarks.
Build agents that verify code quality and identify error patterns.
Hypothesize on software engineering stages (prototype, architecture, API, production) and evaluate model capabilities.
Design verification mechanisms that automatically verify solutions to software engineering tasks.
