Job summary

Mercor is seeking AI Safety Experts for remote contract work, fluent in English and Danish, to assess and improve AI safety by red-teaming models and documenting actionable risks. You will annotate failures and generate datasets to help customers strengthen their systems.

Ideal candidates have prior red-teaming in AI adversarial work or cybersecurity and excellent communication to convey risk to diverse stakeholders, with a preference for experience in adversarial ML or socio-technical risk

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in English and Danish.
• Prior red teaming experience in AI adversarial work or cybersecurity.
• Strong communication skills to explain risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Red team conversational AI models and agents to identify jailbreaks, prompt injections, misuse cases, and bias exploitation.
• Generate high-quality human data by annotating failures, classifying vulnerabilities, and flagging systemic risks.
• Apply structure by following taxonomies, benchmarks, and playbooks to maintain consistent testing.
• Document reproducibly by producing reports, datasets, and attack cases that customers can act on.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while improving AI model performance.
