Job summary

xCures Inc. is seeking an AI Quality Engineer to own the quality standards for clinical extractors across clients and domains.

Reporting to the Vice President of Scientific and Medical Affairs, you will ensure outputs are accurate, transparent, and compliant with privacy and regulatory requirements. You will collaborate with Data Science, Engineering, and Clinical Informatics to translate complex medical text into validated, source-linked clinical data suitable for real-world decisions.

Qualifications

• Background in computational biology, bioinformatics, or life sciences.
• Strong clinical knowledge across major disease areas and standard-of-care patterns.
• Experience with electronic medical records and health data landscapes (HIE/QHIN).
• Experience with structured clinical data and real-world data analysis.
• Strong data quality principles and data provenance assessment.
• Proficiency in Python, R, or SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
• Ability to translate complex scientific concepts into clear findings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects with tight timelines.
• Comfort working remotely with virtual collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead ongoing quality control of clinical extractor outputs and resolve discrepancies before client delivery.
• Lead regulatory alignment for extraction and validation with privacy and data standards.
• Translate validation metrics into clear, evidence-backed client and internal reports.
• Serve as a clinical SME for oncology and real-world evidence, guiding data interpretation.
• Partner with Data Science to prototype extraction logic and domain-specific nuances.
• Define and monitor clinical quality KPIs and detect data drift over time.
• Ensure accurate export of structured data into formats like FHIR bundles and CSV.
• Support data governance, including de-identification and data-dictionary alignment.
• Serve as clinical reviewer in internal reviews, client demos, and feasibility analyses.
