Job summary

Hamilton Barnes Associates Limited is seeking an ambitious infrastructure engineer to help build and operate automated systems that bring GPU clusters from bare machines to customer-ready deployments. You will manage multi-tenant lifecycle, run Kubernetes and Postgres at scale, and contribute to Kubernetes operators that power the control plane.

You will scale clusters from tens to thousands of nodes, handle on-call incidents, and work in a fully remote environment across North America.

Qualifications

• Track record of impressive technical work with real-world impact.
• 2+ years of on-call experience for critical production services.
• Deep Kubernetes experience beyond consumption; understands underlying systems.
• Strong Linux fundamentals across kernel, cgroups, containers, networking and storage.
• Experience operating databases, monitoring, CI/CD and cloud infrastructure at scale.
• Familiarity with fleet management and capacity planning.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate automated systems that take a cluster from bare machines to customer-ready, end-to-end.
• Manage machine lifecycle between tenants: join, wipe, verify, rejoin, reliably and at scale.
• Operate Kubernetes and Postgres across the fleet, keeping infrastructure healthy under production load.
• Contribute to custom Kubernetes operators powering the control plane.
• Scale clusters from tens of nodes to thousands, solving scale edge problems.
• Participate in on-call rotations and resolve production incidents quickly.
