Job summary

Optomi, in partnership with a leading client, is seeking a 100% Remote AI Platform Engineer. The right candidate will be very comfortable with AI, platform engineering, and Azure. For this position you MUST be a US Citizen to be eligible!

Responsibilities include building and operating secure, governed AI infrastructure in Azure; developing platform capabilities with LLMs, RAG, and agents; implementing AI security, governance, access controls, logging, data protection, and policy enforcement.

Qualifications

Hands-on AI/LLM tech with LLM APIs, RAG, agents and model access patterns.
Strong AI security, governance, data protection and auditability.
Hands-on Azure platform engineering across identity, networking, Key Vault, monitoring, API Management, storage.
Strong DevOps/production engineering with CI/CD, IaC, observability, automation, incident support.
Exposure to AI Gateway or MCP Gateway; enterprise-scale experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Build and operate secure, governed AI infrastructure in Azure.
Develop AI platform capabilities involving LLMs, RAG, agents, and model access patterns.
Implement AI security, governance, access controls, logging, data protection, and policy enforcement.
Support AI Gateway/MCP Gateway patterns, including model routing, tool access, usage controls, and secure enterprise integration.
Engineer Azure platforms using identity, networking, Key Vault, monitoring, API Management, and storage.
Support CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, observability, automation, runbooks, and production operations.
