Job summary

AuraOne is seeking an Engineering / Manufacturing / Technical Operations Evaluator for remote work as a contractor in the United States. You will evaluate model outputs, annotate with structured rubric tags, and provide rationales to improve training data quality.

The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to flag problematic prompts, and reliable async availability of at least 10 hours per week. Compensation is hourly and based on experience.

Qualifications

• Prior evaluation, annotation, or human-rater experience on engineering / manufacturing / technical operations evaluation or adjacent content for Engineering / Manufacturing / Technical Operations Evaluator work.
• Clear written reasoning that names the issue and the rubric clause being applied.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to flag when a prompt itself is the problem.
• Reliable async availability for at least 10 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate model outputs against a versioned rubric and assign severity tags.
• Compare paired responses and provide a written rationale for the stronger answer.
• Label hallucinations, instruction-following failures, and unsafe content with structured tags.
• Capture ambiguous prompts and route them for rubric updates.
• Maintain reviewer-quality scores by calibrating against gold-standard examples.
• Document recurring failure modes for future training.
