Job summary

BPD is hiring a mid-level AI Engineer to build and scale AI systems behind Violet and the ThirdBase analytics platform. You will work hands-on with large language models, retrieval systems, and healthcare data, turning a governed data warehouse into trustworthy, natural-language analytics.

You will own end-to-end components, collaborate with senior engineers, and grow into larger systems with clear technical direction. Experience with LLMs, AI workflows, and data privacy is essential.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years building production software, including hands-on experience with LLM/GenAI applications (RAG, agents, or text-to-SQL).
• Solid Python and SQL; comfort querying a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake a plus).
• Working knowledge of AWS and deploying services in the cloud.
• Substantive experience in LangGraph, CrewAI, n8n, or other agentic frameworks.
• Experience in AI-assisted coding and CICD processes.
• Exposure to retrieval systems, embeddings, or vector search.
• Understanding of prompt engineering and LLM guardrails.
• Awareness of data privacy and compliance basics.

Responsibilities

• Build and scale LLM-powered analytics features, including agentic workflows and RAG.
• Develop text-to-SQL and semantic-layer systems for safe healthcare data querying.
• Create retrieval pipelines over document stores and vector databases.
• Implement evaluation, guardrails, and hallucination checks for domain data.
• Enforce data-governance and compliance controls in the AI layer.
