Job summary

Tempus Unlimited is seeking an AI Engineer to design, implement, and optimize LLM-powered applications and production-grade AI pipelines. The role includes developing RAG systems, maintaining data pipelines, and quantizing models for efficient deployment.

Fully remote within MA/FL/OH/PA states, with core hours Mon-Fri 8:30am–4:30pm and possible after-hours depending on project needs. Salary ranges between 100,000 and 140,000 USD annually.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python, SQL and ETL pipelines.
• Experience with PyTorch and TensorFlow.
• Familiar with LlamaIndex and LangGraph.

Responsibilities

• Design and build LLM-powered applications, APIs and agentic pipelines.
• Integrate AI models into production via REST APIs and SDKs.
• Develop RAG systems and semantic search features.
• Fine-tune foundation models for use cases.
• Build and maintain data pipelines feeding AI models.
• Monitor model health and performance metrics.
• Quantize models for latency and production efficiency.
